VENERABLE KHENPO NGAWANG DAMCHOE
From Drogmi Retreat Centre East Kurrajong in Cairns April 16, 17 and 18 Khenpo will give a public talk on
Friday April 16 at 7.30pm “How the Buddhist perspective on sickness, death and dying can ease difficult times” $15 and $10 members/concession
Weekend teachings: Sat and Sun April 17 & 18 10am - 5pm “Illuminating the Sage’s Intent” by Sakya Pandita Khenpo will continue the teachings on Sakya Pandita’s famous work, Illuminating the Sages Intent, a guide to the Bodhisattva’s way of life and the stages of the path. It is said that every Mahayana teaching is included in these teachings. It provides the student with a knowledge of how to develop the six Paramitas (Perfections) and other qualities necessary for overcoming our self-created suffering and for progression on the path. His Holiness Sakya Trizin recently gave these teachings in Australia and this is a great opportunity for those who missed out to hear the teachings from Khenpo who has studied the text and attended the teachings with His Holiness. He will give us insight how to generate the qualities of a Bodhisattva in our daily life.
Khenpo is the founder of Drogmi Retreat Centre, East Kurrajong, Sydney and was appointed by His Holiness Sakya Trizin to head the centre. Khenpo has been a monk for over 35 years, and is the most highly qualified Sakya treacher in Australia.
Bookings essential for the weekend teaching.
