Silent Meditation Retreat

Easter Silent Retreat at Sisters of Mercy Conference Centre
Thursday April 1 from 6pm till Monday April 5 with Venerable Rinchen
This retreat will be held in the tranquil setting of the Seville Mercy Conference Centre (Sisters of Mercy) Balaclava Rd in Earlville. The retreat is suitable for those with some meditation experience who would like the opportunity to deepen their pracitce in a safe and harmonious environment. Each participant will have their own room and numbers will be limited to 20.

The retreat will be facilitated by Ven Rinchen who is the resident nun at Khacho Yulo Ling Buddhist Centre. She has been facilitating meditation courses, retreats and workshops since 2001. The weekend will be a combination of sitting and walking meditation interspersed with some gentle Qi Gong exercises and some personal reflection time. The retreat will commence on Thursday night with registration and dinner at 6pm and finish after breakfast on Monday, so there will be three full days of practice in peaceful silence.
All meals will be vegetarian and you will need to bring your own towel and toiletries.

Cost is $420 or $390 members/concession. There is also the option to do 3 nights and two full days, starting Thurs and finishing after breakfast on the Sunday, Cost is $340 or $320 members/concession. Preference will be given to those who wish to do the full three days. We have tried to keep the costs down but we have accommodation costs per night plus conference room hire for the sessions and food. There are several great things though and they are that it is in Cairns and no airfares to worry about, the most beautiful environment, and your own room!!!
