SUMMARY:Vesak/Saga Dawa Dharma Talk and Meditation with Patrick Kearney 6pm to 7pm 31st May
DESCRIPTION:There were two opportunities to celebrate Vesak this month (two full moons) so we held our Vesak celebration with the first one. The second full moon (the most auspicious one) which coincides with both the solar and lunar calendars of the Theravada tradition (Vesak) and Tibetan Tradition (Saga Dawa) is this Sunday 31st May.  In light of this we made a special request to Patrick to see if he would give a Dharma talk and lead a meditation\, which of course he has agreed to do.   \nThis is an opportunity for us to come together as a sangha to recollect the precious teachings of the Buddha\, cultivating collectively the aspiration for world peace.  Our world is in turmoil at the moment so during this time we can take the opportunity to sit together to listen to the Dharma and to create the conditions for the inner transformation of peace.  Peace starts with with us\, by cultivating peaceful hearts and minds. When the mind is peaceful our actions of body and speech will be peaceful.  \nWe will provide light refreshment\, all welcome to attend.
