DESCRIPTION:Green Tara Ritual is done in most Tibetan Monasteries daily to dispel obstacles and to help all Dharma activities. \nIt is a lively\, active practice involving lots of chanting and musical instruments\, including the drum\, bells\, cymbals and conch. Green Tara is the swift-action Goddess who comes quickly when called\, to help relieve the suffering of all sentient beings. \nVenerable Rinchen leads the practice every Sunday when she is in residence.  Everyone is welcome to attend but check the calendar to make sure it is on that weekend. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nIt takes around and hour and half and for those who are not familiar with this kind of practice it might be best to sit and listen for the first time as it can be a little difficult to follow. \nThe initiation for Green Tara was given by His Eminence Chogye Trichen Rinpoche when he blessed our centre in 2006 and again by His Holiness Sakya Trizin in 2009 when he gave the 21 Tara Empowerment as part of his visit to Cairns. There are many legends and stories of Green Tara.

DESCRIPTION:Tuesday Evening Guided Meditations 27th January to 31st March\nVenerable Rinchen will lead the guided meditations which include instructions on both Shamatha and Vipassana Meditation techniques as well as the 4 Immeasurable meditations\, Loving Kindness\, Comapassion\, Joy and Equanimity.  These evenings are suitable for both beginners and regular meditators. \nThe cost is $10 per session and and is also available via Zoom.  A Zoom link will be sent after 5pm each Tuesday for the evening session.   \nIf you are attending in person please bring a sarong/towel to cover cushion or chair and please do not attend if you have any cold or flu like symptoms.  \nBookings are essential via our Trybooking link on: https://www.trybooking.com/DILBT
