Khenpo Ngawang Dhamchoe Cairns Weekend Teachings – September 19th to 21st 2025
Weekend Teachings on “The 37 Mind Trainings of a Bodhisattva”
Saturday 20th September 9.30am to 5pm
Sunday 21st September 9.30am to 4.30pm
The 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva are mind trainings that are a practical guide to living a good life for oneself and others. Khenpo la will teach from a short Tibetan Buddhist text by the 14th-century Tibetan master, Togme Zangpo. He will outline this comprehensive path for cultivating compassion and wisdom in daily life, which is the first step on the path to enlightenment. No matter where one is on the path, these teachings will provide excellent instructions and guidance. One could use these mind trainings to simply improve ones current problems to live a better life. Ultimately, though, with the right motivation and intention, they can be used as a profound method to reach liberation for the benefit of all beings. This second aspiration is the motivation of the Bodhisattvas.
Through these teachings Khenpo will help us to uncover our innate potential for loving kindness, compassion and wisdom. These trainings will not only benefit us in our daily lives, they can, with the right motivation ultimately liberate the mind from the true sources of sufferings, ignorance, desire and hatred. A weekend to explore these profound teachings with our wonderful guide and spiritual mentor Khenpo la.
The weekend teachings will include vegetarian lunch and refreshments each day, Dana for the teacher is included in the cost for the weekend. Bookings are essential. The cost for the weekend is: Members/Concession: $100 Non Members: $120 bookings via Trybooking: https://www.trybooking.com/DDHMA
